Mini spool assemblies replace the OE side and spider gears in open style carriers to provide equal traction to both axles. Mini spools are precisely machined for proper fit and heat treated for durability. Mini Spools fit: 1957-87 Ford 9" Rear Ends With 3/4" Cross Pin, 1981-94 Ford 8.8" Rear Ends With 28-Spline Axles, 1976-88 GM 7.5" With 7.5" Or 7.625" Ring Gear, 26-Spline Axles, 1964-72 GM 10-Bolt With 8.2" Dia. Ring Gear, 28-Spline Axles, 1970-76 GM 10-Bolt With 8.5" Dia. Ring Gear, 28-Spline Axles, 1965-76 GM 12-Bolt With 8.875" Dia. Ring Gear, 30-Spline Axles. Note: There are at least three different 7.5" GM cases available, shimming may be required between the case and side gear of the spool to eliminate space between blocks.
